How is the KuCoin fee calculated?

The result is calculated using the following formula:

One-way Fee = Trade Value × Applied Fee Rate Round-trip Fee = One-way Fee × 2

  • Applied fee rate = VIP level maker/taker rate, adjusted for KCS discount when enabled on spot
  • Spot VIP0: Maker 0.10%, Taker 0.10% (~0.08% with KCS 20% off)
  • Futures VIP0: Maker 0.02%, Taker 0.06% in this public table
  • KCS savings = standard one-way fee − discounted one-way fee, spot only
  • Round-trip assumes the same trade value and fee rate on entry and exit

Example Calculation

VIP0 spot taker on a ₹50,000 fill:

  1. 1. Without KCS: 0.10% × ₹50,000 = ₹50 one-way
  2. 2. Round-trip fee = ₹50 × 2 = ₹100
  3. 3. With KCS 20% off: 0.08% × ₹50,000 = ₹40 one-way, round-trip = ₹80
  4. 4. KCS discount = ₹10 on the one-way fee

A KuCoin futures taker on the same ₹50,000 at VIP0 is ₹30 one-way (₹60 round-trip) in this table.
